Succession planning, employee retention and career development programmes in selected organisations in Ghana

This paper examined the relationship between succession planning and employee retention, as well moderating role of career development program on retention. Using cross-sectional design, 188 employees were conveniently sampled from four corporate organisations in Ghana to complete questionnaires planning, retention development. The Hierarchical Multiple Regression was used test hypotheses. results indicated that significantly predicted Career programmes also moderated relationship. suggest that, influence by programmes, such has more significant when are high rather than low. study recommends need for managers develop strategic innovation train enhance their organisations.
